6:10-12 When you Eternal God brings you into the land that was sworn to your fathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, to be assigned to you—great and flourishing cities that you did not build, houses full of all good things that you did not fill, hewn cisterns that you did not hew, vineyards and olive groves that you did not plant—and you eat your fill, take heed that you do not forget The Eternal who freed you from the land of Egypt, the house of bondage.

What it Means for Advocates:
How do we show our gratitude for what we do have? Write a letter to your congressperson and senator on a state and national level and thank them for doing the necessary work when they take a stand that aligns with your values. Everyone likes to know they are doing a good job every once in awhile and this habit of emailing, faxing, phoning, or writing your representatives will make it even easier next time when you ask them to take a stand!
