What it Means for Advocates:

Hunger is a serious problem in the United States and throughout the world.  Food however is a complicated matter for many people.  Obesity is a serious problem of a different sort in the United States.  Obesity, like hunger, requires access to affordable and nutritionally balanced foods.

MAZON is part of a consortium that created the Blueprint to End Hunger.  This blueprint highlights the tasks that the federal, state and local governments, schools, community organizations, nonprofit groups, labor and industry, and individuals can take information and learn how they can contribute to an end to childhood hunger by 2015.

Read the blueprint, especially the section describing what individuals can do.  What are the practical steps you can take to eradicate hunger?  Who do you need to contact?  How can you recruit other people to help you?
